Individual Actions
Unless, we repent and ask God to forgiveness of our sins-lies! How come we lie? This question was asked by a friend of mine a couple of days ago (12/18/03). He was wondering why friend would lie to one another. I (Sal) told him sometimes we lie because for the safety of one's situation. For example, one time I lied to a friend about places I didn't want to hangout at because I didn't want him to start drinking. Then this friend I was talking to said, "isn't that deceiving". Yes, it is after I thought about it! There is a better way to tell the "truth" in a manner of lying. We all sin, in fact many Christians struggle with this through pride by not humbling before God every night repenting all of theirs sins that particular day. We go to bed "thinking" we were "sinless"! For me, I struggle with this! I try to ask God to show me all my wrongs or sins I committed each day as I do my "quiet time" at night.
"Heavenly Father, show me all of my sins I committed today or in the past as I want to be a brighter reflection of Christ. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the forgiveness or our sins and who rose again the Third Day to show that we may have eternal life. Show me how I can be a more like you to the hurting world out there that they'll come to know your love. Forgive me right now of sin(s) with the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross. In the precious "Jesus' name. Amen!"
This is what Paul said, "15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst. 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life." 1 Timothy 1:14-16
That is why I'm writing this, we all can be deceived by one another. In fact, Satan's speciality is this one, which he loves to get "us" humans to fight one another due to misunderstanding. He comes in different forms, like how he came as a snake during "The Fall" (Genesis 2) to deceive Adam and Eve. Read it! There are many other stories in the Bible that many were deceived.
He in fact has made each of us individually "hate" ourselves (e.g. image, looks, etc..) with constant "negative" thoughts (e.g. "I'm not good enough") about ourselves and presume others are "thinking" the same about "us". I constantly here from people, "name thinks I'm this or that". I tell them right away, what does God say in his "love letter to you". In the first place, we are not on earth to keep constantly-endlessly doing just "good works" to please others or please ourselves (self-gratification). We are here on earth to please God through our lifestyle of worship (not just during church services, but everyday in our lives outside of the church building through our "actions in love" towards others or how we take care of our bodies). Our Heavenly Father want us to draw near to Him, which can be done with that personal relationship with Him everyday!

What about now? How are we lied to as citizens of America? I'm not going to point my fingers towards our nation's education system because it's not perfect. We are always learning new "things" as we discover new facts. Here are some lies that some are still being "brainwashed" through our educational system:

God knew that these practices would prevent ancient Israel from being a holy, set-apart people who would be a blessing to all nations. The future for Israel was determined by their faithfulness to God's covenant, not the words of soothsayers and psychics. Reliance on these evil practices indicated a failure to trust the Lord with their lives.

The incident occurred during a Houdini Water Torture Cell Escape by world famous escapologists Ridgeway & Johnson at Friday night’s (Jan. 16) game at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Detroit Pistons.

What this whole topic boils down to is this?. What happens to people after they die?
Without getting into a lengthy discussion, lets say for the moment that people who have rejected Jesus Christ go to hell and people who have accepted the atoning sacrifice of Jesus and been forgiven go to heaven.
Scripture teaches that when we leave this life?? life continues either with Jesus or not with Jesus. Once we are in the place we have chosen by our acceptance or rejection of Jesus, we are there. We don?t go in and out of heaven or hell. There is no scripture that suggests that we do.
You can see that one?s concept of what happens after death has direct bearing on what happens to one?s spirit. We believe that the Bible teaches this concept:
?Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.?

The Bible explicitly forbids that we attempt contact with spirits that pretend to be spirits of the dead :
?There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord.? (Deuteronomy 18:11).
The Bible states that the dead do not have contact with the living (Luke 16:19-31). Therefore, if one has contact with or ?sees? or experiences a paranormal being, you can be sure its not great aunt Mary. Rather, it is a spirit pretending to be great aunt Mary. And this is why we are warned NOT to have contact with people who claim to contact the dead. We are actually contacting fallen angels, unclean spirits or demons. These are deceitful spirits under the control of the father of lies, satan.
Even though it is tempting to think that a slpirit or ghosts is harmless, remember what they really are and remember that:
even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.? (2 Cor 11:14)"

"(CNN) – When the horror novelist Stephen King was once asked why he wrote such gross stories, he said he did it because he had the heart of a small boy – which he kept in a jar on his desk.
With his beady eyes and I-just-killed-the-cat grin, King looks and sounds like a horror novelist. But when the Rev. Paul F.M. Zahl read several of King’s novels, he learned something new about the author: There’s a lot of faith behind his fright.
Zahl says some of the most stirring affirmations of Christian faith can be found in the chilling stories of King. The horror master has been preaching sermons to millions of readers for years, only most of King’s fans don’t know it, he says.
“People tend to think that Stephen King is anti-religious because he is a horror writer, but that’s completely mistaken,” says Zahl, a retired Episcopal priest who has written about King’s religious sensibility for Christianity Today magazine. “Several of his books are parables of grace in action.”

Zahl’s claim about King's faith may sound ludicrous. King, who just released his latest novel, “The Wind Through the Keyhole,” has written at least 50 horror novels such as “Carrie” and “Misery.”
Yet there is an actual body of literature devoted to King’s religious sensibility. Several pastors and authors say King displays a sophisticated grasp of theology in his books, and his stories are stuffed with biblical references and story lines taken straight from the Bible.
“If God brought lawsuits, Stephen King would face a charge of plagiarism,” says J.M. Rawbone, an English horror novelist who has written an essay about the Christian themes in “The Stand.”
King, whose publicist did not answer a request for an interview, has talked about his faith before. He describes himself as a Christian on his website and elsewhere has said he was raised as a “hard-nosed” Methodist taught to believe in the Antichrist.
Some of his literary influences are Christian authors. In one interview, King said he was shaped by C.S. Lewis, author of “The Chronicles of Narnia,” and J.R.R. Tolkien, author of “The Lord of the Rings.” Both Lewis and Tolkien were devout Christians
who layered their fiction with Christian themes.
“I’ve always tried to contrast that bright, white light of real goodness or Godliness against evil,” he said in a 1988 interview. “I’m not a proselytizer, and I hate organized religion. I think it’s one of the roots of real evil that’s in the world. If you really unmask Satan, you’ll probably find that he’s wearing a turnaround color.”
The best way, though, to understand King’s faith is not through his words, but through his stories. There are at least three biblical themes that run through them.
A child shall lead them
Every horror writer seems to write a vampire story eventually, and King is no exception. “Salem’s Lot” is one of King’s most popular novels. It depicts a vampire’s attempt to colonize a modern-day New England town.
Traditional vampire stories are loaded with Christian symbolism, but King inserts another biblical theme into “Salem’s Lot” that would reoccur in many of his books.
It comes in a scene showing a standoff between a priest and vampire. Father Callahan tries to protect a teenage boy with him by brandishing a cross. The vampire dares the priest to toss the cross away and face him on faith alone.
Father Callahan hesitates, his faith long diluted by alcohol and skepticism. The vampire wrenches the cross from the priest’s hands, while the boy escapes and becomes one of the vampire’s most formidable enemies.
When the Rev. David Squyres read this passage from “Salem’s Lot,” one of Jesus’ most popular sayings flashed before him: “… Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
In the moral universe of King, children get God better than the adults, Squyres says.
“The vampire humiliates the priest because the priest doesn’t have real faith, but the kid has real faith,” says Squyres, pastor of the Palms Baptist Church near Palm Springs, California.
“The priest represents the Pharisees. They believe in relics. But the children, and the teenager, have a simple faith. They don’t put their trust in institutions. They trust in the Lord,” says Squyres, who has written about King’s Christian sensibility at his website, "talkstephenking."
Many of King’s most popular novels are filled with young heroines driven by faith. It’s a reflection of a famous passage from the Book of Isaiah in the Old Testament: “And a little child shall lead them.”
In “The Talisman” and “It,” King features adolescent heroes who risk their lives battling evil, according to Marylaine Block, who wrote about King’s religious sensibility in an essay called "Something Wicked This Way Comes."
“In both novels, the adults are incapable of understanding the evil that is about to envelop and destroy their world. They see the signs, but choose not to understand them. Only the children know what is happening, and know that it is up to them to save the people they care about,” she wrote.
God can be cruel
King’s most explicit Christian novel is “Desperation,” which features another adolescent hero driven by faith. The boy, David, is converted by a miracle and prays to God for help. King depicts his faith without irony and with reverence.
“Desperation,” though, contains an unusual description of God that reveals some heavy theology from King, several pastors say. During the bloody climax of the story, a character tells the boy that God is “cruel.”
That line caught the attention of Zahl, the Episcopal priest. It speaks to what he calls “the answerable sovereignty of God.”
Zahl says King is depicting a side of God that’s woven into the Bible. It is not the God whose eye is on the sparrow, but the Holy Other, incomprehensible, the one who allowed Job to suffer.
It’s the same side of God that the narrator in “The Green Mile” reflects on when he reminisces about the death of the innocent John Coffey, the Christ-like figure who never hurt anyone, but perished while a villainous guard lived on.
Zahl points to this passage from ”The Green Mile”:
“Yet this same God sacrificed John Coffey, who tried only to do good in his blind way, as savagely as an Old Testament prophet ever sacrificed a defenseless lamb. ... If it happens, God lets it happen, and when we say, ‘I don’t understand,’ God replies, ‘I don’t care.’ ”
Zahl says King can say things about God in books that pastors can’t say in the pulpit. In King’s novels, people often suffer while doing good.
“Americans generally want to hear that everything is really terrific all the time,” Zahl says. “Americans want to control and manage everything, and they’re eager for anything that pumps them up. When you preach a message from the Bible that life is much more difficult, and there’s a huge amount of suffering, those messages don’t always go down well.”
'God chose the weak things'
As a teenager, King used to collect scrapbooks filled with newspaper clippings detailing the crimes of serial killers, says Stanley Wiater, co-author of “The Complete Stephen King Universe: A Guide to the Worlds of Stephen King.”
King's mother grew so concerned that one day she asked him why he kept the scrapbook.
Wiater says King answered with: “I think there’s evil out there. I want to know what it is, so when it comes, I can recognize it and get out of the way.”
In King’s books, characters can’t avoid evil. They have to confront it, but they often don’t fit the conventional definition of heroes.
“The Stand,” another explicitly Christian novel, illustrates this pattern. A plague has wiped out mankind, and a group of unarmed survivors are dispatched via a vision from God to confront a satanic figure called the Darkman.
The group seems to have no chance. One is an elderly, genial professor; another a deaf mute, and a third figure is a genial man with the mental capacity of a child. Against them: the Darkman’s ruthless army, which literally crucified its foes.
The makeup of the group underscores another popular religious theme in King’s work that’s reflected in this line from the apostle Paul in the first Book of Corinthians: “God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”
Zahl, the Episcopal priest, says so many heroes in King’s books are broken people: physically frail, alcoholic, disabled and lonely. Even the evil people are rendered with compassion.
“King understands grace at a deep level,” says Zahl, author of "Grace in Practice." “He typically concentrates on the marginalized and the outsiders who ultimately carry the day. God often does his work where people are the most messed up.”
King may have converted Zahl, but the priest and others admit there’s a risk invoking the horror novelist in the pulpit.
When Zahl mentions King in church, he says many listeners think first of books they want to keep away from teenagers.
Still, there are secret converts.
“Half of the other people in the congregation have read Stephen King, though they may not want to shout it out to the world,” he says. “They know what I’m talking about. They come up later and they say I’m really thrilled that you know about him.”
The doubters shouldn’t be surprised that King’s stories contain religious themes, says Rawbone, the English horror novelist and author of "Bunker."
The Bible is filled with terror: demons, ghosts, floods wiping out mankind and the rising of the dead.
“Good horror examines the struggle between good and evil,” he says. “The Bible is the history of that struggle.
“The Bible is in many ways the ultimate horror novel."

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a registered sex offender wearing a Cookie Monster costume and greeting children was arrested at the Mississippi Valley Fair in Davenport because he's not allowed to work or volunteer on the fairgrounds.
The Scott County sheriff's office say 25-year-old James Rogers, of Davenport, was arrested Friday. KWQC-TV (http://bit.ly/ptqyyk) says Rogers was wearing a Cookie Monster costume and took off the head to say "hello" to a former parole supervisor, who recognized him.
Rogers is charged with sex offender-employment violation. He was working for a company called Q.C. Characters, a private business not contracted by the fair. There is no phone listing for the company in the Davenport area.
Rogers was in the Scott County jail on Tuesday on $2,000 bond. The online court system doesn't list an attorney.

"MARSING, Idaho – For more than a decade, the vast farm fields of rural southwestern Idaho provided Enrico Ponzo the isolation he needed to hide from his past as a former New England mobster accused of trying to whack his boss.
He introduced himself to his neighbors as Jeffrey Shaw, a man who went by the nickname "Jay." He paid for everything in cash. He bought his house in his girlfriend's name.
But his past proved a stubborn companion.
Ponzo couldn't hide his vaguely New York accent. He couldn't keep his stories straight. He couldn't hide his expertise with a gun during a trip to the local shooting range. And in a community where Ponzo was surrounded by wide open ranch land, his neighbors could tell he didn't know anything about farming.
The past Ponzo tried to bury finally came calling this week, when federal agents arrived at a subdivision in Marsing and shattered the life he had so carefully crafted.
In a federal courtroom Wednesday, Ponzo pulled the mask off Jeffrey Shaw.
"My name is Enrico M. Ponzo," he said, wearing a yellow jumpsuit with his hands cuffed behind his back.
After the judge read a long list of charges against him, Ponzo pleaded not guilty. He was appointed a public defender and ordered him held without bail until another hearing Friday.
Meanwhile, a tiny farming and ranching community about 40 miles west of Boise was left to wonder how all of them got duped, and for so long. His neighbors reached back as far as they could into their memories, scouring for signs of an elaborate ruse. Some found vindication.
"We always felt that something was a little strange," said Sharie Kinney, a neighbor.
To them, he was Jay Shaw, who worked as a graphic designer from home and was known for fixing computers. He raised about a dozen cows and lived in a light green two-story home on a hilltop with his girlfriend, who moved out of the house several months ago with their two small children.
To the FBI, he was a New England mobster who vanished in 1994 after a botched attempt to kill his boss.
Ponzo now faces charges from a 1997 indictment accusing him and 14 others of racketeering, attempted murder and conspiracy to kill rivals. He is also charged in the 1989 attempted murder of Frank Salemme. Known as "Cadillac Frank," Salemme is the ex-head of the Patriarca Family of La Cosa Nostra.
Authorities declined to say how the FBI discovered him. During his arrest Monday, agents seized 38 firearms, $15,000 and a 100-ounce bar of either gold or silver from the home.
Neighbors say Ponzo moved into the community, which sits at the base of the Owyhee Mountains in southwestern Idaho, about 10 or 11 years ago. He told some he was from New York, and to their ears, he had the accent to prove it. But he told others that he was from New Jersey.
Bodie Clapier, a rancher who lived next door, remembers Ponzo said his parents were killed when he was young, and that he had no other family.
"My dad just said, one time (Ponzo) was telling him, `Yeah, I was in the military and 15 of us got blown up and I was the only one that survived,'" Clapier said. "Well, isn't it weird that the number of people that were indicted was 15? ... Isn't that kind of bizarre?"
Some details that once seemed strange now fit together like a puzzle.
"Every time I talked about a gun he'd say `I've got one of those,'" said Clapier, who went out with Ponzo to shoot guns on a hot September day last year.
Clapier and his son came away impressed.
"After we got in the truck and were leaving, (his son) said: "Man, that guy knows how to handle a gun," Clapier said. "When he go up to shoot it was just: Boom! Boom! Boom!."
Other details now seem chilling.
"We got in a big argument one time about something. I kind of told him `You know what Jay, just get out of my face. I don't want to talk to you.' But then he came right back the next day smiling and said: `It's ok,'" Clapier said. "I feel like I dodged a bullet. Literally."
Ponzo was arrested at the entrance of the subdivision, where he served on the board that regulates the water supply. Federal agents took him into custody on Monday afternoon, just as children were coming off the school bus, neighbors said. Ponzo later called from the Ada County Jail in Boise, Clapier said.
"He said `I've been arrested, it's all a bunch of bulls---, but I'm going to be in here for a long time. Would you please feed my cows?'" "

"Satan and his demons can use the Ouija board to give advice, or even to guide a person in a certain direction. This guidance will even seem to be true, good, and helpful. Satan and his demons pretend to be caring. They try to appear as something that appears harmless. The Bible says, "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve" (2 Corinthians 11:14-15).
Satan and his demons will do this in order to get a person even more deeply involved in spiritist practices. Things like the Ouija board appear to be innocent at first, but soon a person finds themselves addicted to guidance from the spirit world - thereby allowing Satan to control and destroy their life. 1 Peter 5:8 warns us, "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." The Ouija Board may be advertised as just as game, and that is exactly what Satan wants us to believe."

"The Ouija board is (or at least once was) produced in Parker Brothers' Salem, Massachusetts facility--which is where they produce most of their games. Milton Bradley is also in that area, although I don't know where they are exactly; and although Salem's tourism industry does much to capitalize on their infamous history, the witch trials were actually in Danvers, west on Electronics Highway perhaps a dozen miles, and not in Salem. The box contains a board marked with letters and, if I recall correctly, numbers, plus a yes and a no at opposite ends of the board. There is also a plastic pointer. The participants (I do not at this point call them players) sit facing each other, place the board on their knees and the pointer on the board, and then rest the tips of their fingers, of both hands, on the pointer. It then mysteriously glides around the board, seemingly with a will of its own. The participants ask it questions, and it produces answers, sometimes merely yes or no, sometimes spelled out.
Is it a game? I have no idea. Does it truly contact spirits? I'm doubtful. Does Parker Brothers really have witches cast spells on them at the factory? Although it's good publicity to have people arguing about that, I'm sure that Parker Brothers, makers of many popular family board and card games and division of Hasbro Industries (whose ownership of Parker Bros., Milton Bradley, PlaySkool, Wizards of the Coast, Tiger Electronics, Tonka, G. I. Joe, Play Doh, Avalon Hill, Nerf, and more have earned them the nickname Hasbro of Borg in the toy and game industry), does not hire people to perform incantations over game products. Do the boards scream when you burn them? People say so; but then, wood fires sometimes do have those squealing noises from hot gasses pushing out of the timbers, and people can be very impressionable when they think they're in the presence of something supernatural.
A friend of mine was told by someone that if you burned a copy of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons? Deities and Demigods book, the demon trapped in the book would scream. My friend did it. He went back and told them there was no scream. They said, well, it doesn't happen every time. "
What does the Bible Say About...
"Q: Is it possible for a home or any object to be possessed, or is demon possession strictly something that can only happen in people?
A: Yes, any place, any object and any person can be possessed or be under the influence by evil spirits. In case of objects dedicated to demons (idols, artifacts, etc.), the best course of action is to destroy them. However, it is well to check secondhand cars, things getting from garage sales, homes, and apartments also, because; - If the former owners or tenants had Satan worshipping, witchcraft practices, calling the spirits, Ouija boards, or other occult paraphernalia, or were involved in serious bondage to sin, then there is every reason to suspect that evil spirits could be lingering behind. These spirits can and will cause trouble to the new owners or whom are living there.
All Christians must keep in mind that any prayers offered to anyone or anything other than God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit constitute prayers and / or worship to demons. It open the way for evil spirits to have access to that place or person. Very often, these are answered in the form of curses, for demons can and do respond to those who have request of them. Remember also, that the one offering the false prayer, may be utterly deceived and think they pray to God, but the results are the same in either case. When detected, curses must be broken in order to rout the demons. We suggest that, two believers go on a mission such as this, with bible in their hand. The verses from scripture may be read aloud in unison or separately. Pray for discernment of spirits and for God to reveal objects which may have occult spirits and power, to be destroyed. Look for little Mexican sun gods, idols, incense, Buddha, hand carved objects from Africa or the Orient, Ouija boards, anything connected with astrology, horoscopes, fortune telling, and so on. Books or objects associated with witchcraft, good luck charms (mood rings, four leaf clovers, rabbit's foot, horse shoes), Cult religions, Eastern religion or any teaching such as Zen, Tao, Buddha, Hare Krishna, Transcendental meditation, I Ching, Reincarnation, Karma, Yoga, Kabala, Metaphysics, Christians Science, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, New age, any philosophy that denies deity of the Lord Jesus, rock and roll records and tapes all fall in the category of things which have been often loaded with evil spiritual power. ...
...Some object particularly rings, bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry which has been given to a person by someone in witchcraft will have curses and / or bondage in them.

Historian Nicholas Rogers, exploring the origins of Halloween, notes that while "some folklorists have detected its origins in the Roman feast of Pomona, the goddess of fruits and seeds, or in the festival of the dead called Parentalia, it is more typically linked to the Celtic festival of Samhain, whose original spelling was Samuin (pronounced sow-an or sow-in)".[1] The name is derived from Old Irish and means roughly "summer's end".[1] A similar festival was held by the ancient Britons and is known as Calan Gaeaf (pronounced Kálan Gái av).

The festival of Samhain celebrates the end of the "lighter half" of the year and beginning of the "darker half", and is sometimes[2] regarded as the "Celtic New Year".[3]
The ancient Celts believed that the border between this world and the Otherworld became thin on Samhain, allowing spirits (both harmless and harmful) to pass through. The family's ancestors were honoured and invited home while harmful spirits were warded off. It is believed that the need to ward off harmful spirits led to the wearing of costumes and masks. Their purpose was to disguise oneself as a harmful spirit and thus avoid harm. In Scotland the spirits were impersonated by young men dressed in white with masked, veiled or blackened faces.[4][5] Samhain was also a time to take stock of food supplies and slaughter livestock for winter stores. Bonfires played a large part in the festivities. All other fires were doused and each home lit their hearth from the bonfire. The bones of slaughtered livestock were cast into its flames.[6] Sometimes two bonfires would be built side-by-side, and people and their livestock would walk between them as a cleansing ritual.

"South Asia (MNN) ? In the West, there is seldom talk about demon possession beyond horror movies. In other areas of the world, however, the issue is very real.
South Asia is riddled with cases of people who are possessed by demons. Visible spiritual warfare is very much alive, and the only way to end it is with prayer.
A 17-year-old boy in South Asia was recently taken over by demons and subsequently became extremely violent. Much like the possessed man coming from the tombs in the Gospel of Mark, this young man had to be chained down to bind his unnatural strength.
When a Gospel for Asia-supported missionary met the boy and his family, he explained to the frightened family what was wrong with their son. He then went on to share the Gospel with the family, helping them to understand that the only way their son would be freed was through faith in Jesus and prayer.
Several GFA missionaries committed themselves to prayer and fasting for the boy. Through their constant intercession, the boy was eventually freed from his bondage.
The young man now attends the GFA missionary's church. The villagers who know the young man have been astonished by the changes in him, but no one has been more amazed than his parents. Unfortunately, his parents are frightened to join the church out of fear of what other family members and neighbors would think.
Praise God for the transformation that has taken place in this young man's life. Continue to intercede for his family, and ask that God would open their eyes to the Gospel.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi authorities have executed a woman convicted of practicing magic and sorcery.
The Saudi Interior Ministry says in a statement the execution took place Monday, but gave no details on the woman's crime.
The London-based al-Hayat daily, however, quoted Abdullah al-Mohsen, chief of the religious police who arrested the woman, as saying she had tricked people into thinking she could treat illnesses, charging them $800 per session.
The paper said a female investigator followed up, and the woman was arrested in April, 2009, and later convicted in a Saudi court.
It did not give the woman's name, but said she was in her 60s.
The execution brings the total to 76 this year in Saudi Arabia, according to an Associated Press count. At least three have been women."
