The shooting and robbery happened after 9 p.m. Saturday in the entryway of an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Suburban Avenue.
The St. Paul Police are investigating, after a man was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery Saturday night.
It happened after 9 p.m. Saturday in the entryway of an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Suburban Avenue.
Two men allegedly tried to rob a 40-year-old man at gunpoint, who fought with them for the gun. That's when the man was shot in the leg, according to police.
He was taken to Regions Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man told police he did not know the two men who attempted to rob him.
St. Paul Police officers, including a K9 unit, searched the area Saturday night but are still looking for the two suspects, who fled the scene on foot.
One of the suspects is described as a black man, 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10, approximately 180 pounds, unshaven, wearing a tan jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The other suspect is described as a black man, 5-foot-7, skinny (approximately 150 pounds), with beads in his hair, a mustache and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
